FILTERS WASTE & DEBRIS

The BaitWell Buddy sits inside your live well and features an integrated pump that draws water through the canister slots. As the water passes through the built-in filter, waste and debris are removed, helping keep your live well clean, clear, and healthy for your bait.

AERATES THE WATER

The live well pump pushes the filtered water out through a specially engineered venturi, infusing it with fresh, clean, oxygen-rich water before returning it to the live well.

How It Works

The BaitWell Buddy System houses a bilge pump inside a canister surrounded by a filter. The pump draws water from your live well through slots in the canister, passes it through the filter, and expels the cleaned water back into the live well through a specially designed venturi, returning clean, oxygenated water where your bait needs it most.
The expulsion creates a steady current throughout the live well, keeping bait and fish actively moving—just like they would in their natural environment.

Mount the System

  1. Position the canister in your live well or bait tank.
  2. Press firmly to ensure the suction cups are securely attached to a clean, smooth surface.
  3. Attach the venturi tube to the top edge of your tank or run it outside the tank and secure it to allow the venturi to pull in oxygen. (The venturi tube must be above the water line if placed inside the tank.)
  4. Connect the pump to your boat's 12V power supply.
  5. Test the system to ensure proper water flow and aeration.
  6. Verify all connections are secure and leak-free.
  7. Confirm water is flowing through the filter and the venturi is creating bubbles.
  8. Adjust the positioning if needed for optimal performance.

Maintenance

Rinse filters regularly for best performance. Filter life will vary depending on water conditions and frequency of use. Under normal operating conditions, the filter should last several months. Replacement filters are available.
