How It Works
The BaitWell Buddy system houses a bilge pump inside a canister surrounded by a filter. The pump draws water from your live well through slots in the canister, passes it through the filter, and expels the cleaned water back into the live well through a specially designed venturi returning clean, oxygenated water where your bait needs it most.
The expulsion creates a steady current throughout the live well, keeping bait and fish actively moving — just like they would in their natural environment.
What's Included:
- Main canister with secure lid (4¾" diameter × 5½" tall)
- Inner filter support sleeve
- High-performance filter SEAFLO 350 GPH bilge pump
- Air tube for venturi connection
- Venturi system for oxygen infusion
- Heavy-duty suction cups (4) for secure mounting
2. Mount the System
- Position the canister in your live well or bait tank
- Press firmly to ensure suction cups are securely attached to a clean, smooth surface
- Attach the venturi tube to the top edge of your tank or run outside of the tank and secure to allow venturi to pull in oxygen (Venturi tube must be above water line if placed inside of tank)
- Connect the pump to your boat's 12V power supply
- Test the system to ensure proper water flow and aeration
- Verify all connections are secure and leak-free
- Confirm water is flowing through the filter and venturi is creating bubbles
- Adjust positioning if needed for optimal performance
Maintenance
Rinse filters regularly for best performance. Filter life will vary depending upon water conditions and frequency of use. Filter should last several months under normal use. Replacement filters available.
